The emblazoned houses and the parish church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, a work of different movements (Renaissance, baroque and neoclassical), have boosted Berantevilla to be declared a Monumental Site.

The church has a painting of the Immaculate from Alonso Cano, currently on display at the Diocesan Museum of Sacred Art of Araba / Álava, located in Vitoria-Gasteiz. This work was given to the parish by Fray Pedro de Urbina and Montoya (1585-1663), son of the town who became Adviser to His Majesty, Bishop of Coria, Viceroy and Captain General of Valencia, and Archbishop of Seville, where he passed away.

The beginnings of Berantevilla go back to the Neolithic period, when the population was settled in these lands, attracted by the river "Rojo". Over time it became a town protected by a wall. Over time it became town and owned up wall. Today you can see one of the buildings corresponding to the fortress or the old tower.

Its medieval heritage makes Berantevilla an orderly and regular town, with its Main Street which concentrates a rich architectural complex of stately houses with the coat of arms of the owner family.

Nature expands in the space of Santa Cruz del Fierro, where you can go hunting and fishing.
