Almost every one of the towns in Añana contains a past loaded of historical moments that have shaped the towers and palaces, manor houses, archaeological sites, churches, shrines and other assets. Just visit them and discover the past of Añana.

Some even choose to be UNESCO World Heritage as the Salt Valley Añana for its Cultural Landscape, Salinas de Anana is the oldest town of the Basque Country. Others like the Torre Palacio de los Varona acceded to electricity almost being one of the first places in the state and the Casa Torre Urbina Basabe gives shelter to the oldest of the only Roman battle in the Basque Country.
The churches have also become some of most prominent for having two altarpieces, as the Church of Bachicabo that has on its cover the richest set of storied archivolts of "tardorrománico" in the province, and the Church of Nuestra Señora de la Asunción de Tuesta or the Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Angosto where legend says that a Virgin appeared floating in the water after a flood. The Church of San Roman de Tobillas was the choice of the first Christians to launch the first temple of this religion in the Basque Country that has become a historic landmark.
